Frequently asked questions
How do I create an account?
Start immediately with an anonymous account — just set
a username. To sync across devices and access all features, sign in
with Google or Apple from the account tab.
What are credits and how do they work?
Credits power AI-driven movie suggestions. New users receive free
credits on signup. Credits are consumed when generating
personalized suggestions for you and your group.
How does the group movie selection work?
Create a room, share the code/QR/link with friends, and build a
movie pool together. Add movies by searching, getting AI
suggestions (Curate), or importing from Letterboxd (InstaPick).
When ready, tap “Pick” to randomly select one.
Can I import my watchlist from Letterboxd?
Yes! Link your Letterboxd username in account settings, then use
InstaPick in any room to add movies from your watchlist. Filter by
runtime and genre. Shared InstaPick finds movies on multiple
members’ watchlists.
Can I delete my account and data?
Yes. Open Account, tap
Delete Account, and confirm. See
account deletion details for the full
breakdown.
The app isn’t working. What should I do?
Try restarting or checking for updates. If issues persist, email

with details and your device model.
Features
- Rooms — create or join with a 4-digit code, QR code, or link. Lock rooms with a password.
- Preferences — set liked, disliked, and vibe movies to guide AI suggestions. Toggle them active/inactive.
- AI suggestions (Curate) — swipe through personalized picks. Filter by genre or add a prompt.
- Letterboxd (InstaPick) — import from your watchlist, filter by runtime and genre. Shared mode finds overlap across members.
- Pick — randomly select a movie from the room’s pool.
- Accounts — start anonymous, upgrade with Google or Apple to sync across devices. Browse public profiles.
